TRANSCRIPT
you know, there’s a part where there’s not a scientist that would argue 60 to 90% of your immune system is in your gut. And so that should be the primary discussion whenever there’s a health crisis is what’s happening in your gut, because what’s happening with your immune system and you know, a shout out to aloe vera is that I’ve never found anything more healing to the gut than aloe vera.

Your host is no other than the founder of Haley Nutrition Dr. Michael Haley.
I’m Dr. Michael Haley, and this is the Dr. Haley Show podcast. Today’s guests, John Ortiz and Jonathan Atleson. John Ortiz is a master healer with 40 years experience and training in Pranic healing. John graduated with honors with a B.S. in zoology. He’s used and sold aloe vera gel for the past 20 years. Jonathan Atleson is an instructional designer, ghost writer, and musician.
He has music degrees from Oberlin, Peabody and Eastman, as well as an IT degree from RIT. He currently plays percussion with a Cuban salsa band Guajiron. Together, they’re the founders of Triad Healing.
How did you get into this space, John?
what brought you to health care? What brought me to health care? Let me see. There was a part of me that it was almost built in me, and I didn’t realize it, but at some point, it kind of almost seemed like destiny. I didn’t know what it would manifest.
My father was a physician, a physiatrist specialists in physical medicine. And so I had that background growing up. But there was a part where I just realized there were a lot of more to healing than just what my father was doing in medicine. And so part of my journey was just this self-discovery, this religious, spiritual journey. And they were always entwined in healing.
You know, for me, growing up, I thought
doctors were like God’s medical doctors and watching TV. I did this one study, this one time watching TV. If you can call watching TV research. Yeah. But what I did is I would watch a program and count how many series of commercials there were, and I realized that every hour of programing had like five series of commercials.
I’m going to actually round up my numbers just to make it easier. Okay. The math will follow along in the math here. So five series of commercials and imagine each series had, you know, five commercials. Every one of those series would have one drug commercial. So that meant I’d be getting about five drug commercials an hour, and then probably also five fast food commercials and, you know, five cleaning product commercials.
But I’m focused on the drug commercials. Right. Right now for the sake of this discussion. They would say the average American was watching like 18 hours of TV. But to use easy numbers, let’s say it was only ten. So if we were getting five drug commercials an hour, watching ten hours of TV a week, that’d be 50 drug commercials per week.
There’s 52 weeks in the year. But let’s pretend we took two weeks off and we’ll just say there were 50 weeks for the easy math times, you know, 50. We got 2500 drug commercials per year. And if you’ve been watching TV for a decade or 4 or 5 decades like us, we’re up to over hundreds of thousands of, you know, little drug commercials.
Now, here’s the test. And this is for both of you, John and Jonathan. Okay. How do you spell relief?
“A l o e
A L O E good answer Yeah, I’m good to go. I’m going to go with VERA try to complete”
There’s no I in Vera. No. Any young people listening to this are like, what the heck are they talking about?
And then, you know, all the older people are like, R O L A I D S. Come on. It’s simple, you know? What are they talking about? Aloe vera. Well, I just had a picture of the of like
your TV aloe commercial would be like two people watching a sunset in bathtubs, holding hands
like the, you know that commercial you know that commercial cialis.
But but they’re soaking in they’re like in a tub of aloe soothing just like like Nefertiti’s. They’re soothing their sunburn by soaking in aloe. Like, you know, with the mushroom cloud that they say Nefertiti attributed her beauty to soaking, bathing in aloe vera. Yeah, yeah. So, who knows? But let’s go with another one of those commercials.
Finish this jingle. Okay. Plop plop fizz fizz. Oh, what a relief it is. And, you know, we haven’t heard
those commercials in years and years and years, but they’ve been programed into our brain. Yeah. So with
your father being, you know, in health care. And you know, certainly you had a TV somehow you had to get out of that programing and say, wait a second, health doesn’t come in a bottle.
Yeah. How’d you get. Well you know, you know getting out was an interesting thing because I was actually accepted to medical school. I thought my destiny was to follow my father’s footsteps. And, at the same time, I was working in a hospital, and I was miserable. I was like, what the heck’s going on here? This is not healing.
This is just like a dystopian nightmare. And finally,
he has this talk with me, and it’s this father son talk, and he says, I don’t want to affect you adversely, but I don’t want to see you become a physician. And I’m like, dad, why? what’s going on? He says, well, and this was back in 86, 87, something like that.
And he says, what’s going on in our industry between big pharma and insurance restrictions and such like that? He said
it’s bad and it’s only going to get worse. And most of the physicians that I know are actually second guessing their careers. So that was kind of like a big , you know, like, what the heck?
and I didn’t fully understand the nature of it, until later, what he was talking about because I, you know, I didn’t know that there’s only two countries in the world that allowed direct advertisement of big Pharma to the public.
And so,
but it was enough to allow me to question,
the direction, though. I have a funny story of my interview. I was accepted to College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, but,
it was bigger than life, you know, it was like California. Oh, my gosh, all the people things.
I was living at the time in Phoenix, Arizona.
And so we were small little things there. So somebody says you should look into University of Arizona. And I thought, oh, you know, stay at home, you know, only a couple hours, you know, and south, you know,
So I go down to do an interview at the University of Arizona. And I remember I called it the best worst interview in the history of the University of Arizona.
So there’s this doctor and he’s interview me, and I have him laughing. And I have been pat on my shoulders, stuff like that. And he’s just having a good old time.
he’s just warm and fuzzy and everything like that. And then he asked me the question, why do you want to choose the University of Arizona?
And I give him the perfect answer. I say, well, look, I’m an Arizona resident. I want to stay in Arizona. I want to practice in Arizona. I said, I want to be close to home so I can go up on a long weekend, spend time with my family. It’s like he said, he’s just thinking, oh my gosh, he’s found the perfect candidate.
And then there was this guy at the time, who wasn’t known Very well, Andrew Weil, the guy who looks like Santa Claus and he writes a bunch of books and he had written a book about questioning, you know, the narrative of what medicine is and what it should be. And so I said, I read this book by Andrew Weil and I want to study with him.
And he looked at me like, you know, I had said something like, well, you know, I wanted to do geriatrics because I like Kevorkian work
You know, but the nature of the interview changed.
So that was that was bad. I’m sorry. Yeah. Yeah, it was awesome. It, But the nature. And I have no idea why he changed. So something interesting happens.
they don’t say yes, and they don’t say no.
they put me on a waiting list. And that was the perfect thing, because if they said no, I’d gone to College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific
If they said yes, I’d been to University of Arizona. And they say, we’re gonna put you on a waiting list, wait and see. And so that allowed me time to really reflect. And then finally, I turned down
my position at, at comp. And because I just thought, well, I’m going to get into university, I know I’m going to get in.
And as it came out, they said you didn’t get in. And at that time when you’re 25, 26, you think, oh my gosh, I can’t wait a year. I think they’re just like you 20, 365 days. And so, but then I had been praying very hard about what I should do, and I was looking for, like, this neon light in the sky to say what you should do or shouldn’t do.
And in retrospect, I got that. I just didn’t recognize it. If you’re praying to the Holy Spirit, maybe med school is not right for you, but, said I, I would have been a rebel. I would have been, I would have lost my license pretty early. So they for sure, for sure. There’s plenty that have there’s some that have gone against the typical medical practices and just got hung out to dry.
Yeah, yeah, I look at in fact, I think Doctor Mercola is an osteopathic physician. I think he was Osteopath Yeah. He’s Dr.. Yeah. And you know they literally disappeared him from the internet. Yeah. Yeah. Now he still has a huge following. Yeah. He does, he does. And people would call me and he they still reference him.
So
for many people you know I I’d went for Dr. Mercola stays grounded. You know earthing grounding 96% of day I’m thinking that’s much too hard. I said if I’m batting over 20%, I’m feeling pretty good. You know, my. Yeah, yeah, I’m wearing shoes that have rubber soles right now. I am definitely not. Not grounded, but. Oh, well, I think I’ll live.
Although if you have, if your house has dirty electricity, apparently it’s no good anyway. Well, I don’t know about that, because you know
that third ground was supposed to go into the ground and that should connect. Yeah, but, Yeah,
but apparently also the utility is in our country. They dump a lot of dirty stuff into the ground.
So the ground is polluted to even, you know, the ground from the ground. That’s what I’ve heard. I don’t know, that’s like every time you think you found something, somebody is like, no, guess again. Something’s got to kill you. I guess. Yeah. Jonathan, let’s talk about you a little bit, because you got a pretty interesting, you know, upbringing
in music and you’re, you know, you’re a writer.
How did you get into this health spectrum? Well, I was a music student, and as you might know, like serious music studies, very physically demanding
so as soon as I was on my own in college and out of the house that I started exploring any sort of alternative,
modality I could find. So there was a dance instructor at Oberlin who did some had a, you know, alternative approaches to, you know, like,
why is my arm hurt when I press on it?
I was like, I thought that was normal. She’s like, no, that’s not. And, you know, so she had that balance board and this, you know, back massager thing and these cool things. And they seem to you know, they were cool. And I explored them and it helped me. And then just like went from there, you know, as I went to different schools and stuff in different towns and, explore different modalities like massage and chiropractic and
I had a dog at one point and, and I was seeing like acupuncturist, chiropractors, all that stuff, but, I had a dog and, you know, very carefully selected based
on genetics and breeding and stuff. And then and then we’re like, you know, the vet says,
put some of this,
flea ointment on the dog to get rid of fleas. It’s very furry dog. It was like, yeah, it seems like a good idea. You know what? Fleas in the house are on your dog, and they’re like,
don’t touch your dog for two days.
I’m like, okay, so
it would be bad for us to touch the dog because the neurotoxins will get into our body. But it’s okay for the dog. The to put it directly on their body. And we’re like, maybe there’s a better way. And so,
we did research to get like, found all these other alternative things not quite as convenient, but they worked, and then so is that, what about what the dog eats?
And then we started
feeding the dog like raw, meaty bones and stuff like that. And the dog got healthier. The dogs stop smells like a puppy. It’s, you know, his entire life, it’s fur was soft and fluffy. It was like, you know, there was a second. So the dog’s now eating better than us.
And the dog has an amazing health. But maybe, you know, we should try that. So then we went all in, that and I started getting really great results. With,
eating clean and functional medicine and then,
from functional medicine, I was like, what’s next? You know,
and that took me to, like, carnivore and other things at the same time.
I ran into John. And that’s a whole story in itself. Yeah, yeah. So have you gotten energy work done then as well? Oh, yeah. For about ten years. Okay, okay. And John, somehow you went into that I think energy work is everything. And
when I say that
it’s something that you can’t even explain. Meaning somehow we’re all connected somehow there is something that is keeping us alive.
There’s a life that’s in us that we really can’t explain. As a scientist, imagine we got so good that we could arrange all of the atoms into the right, proper place and arrange them into this perfect cell that had, you know, the all the organelles, the mitochondria. And somehow we arrange them, put them all in the right place.
How do we make it vibrate with life? That’s something that we just can’t do. We can’t explain it. Yeah. And I’m wondering your perspective on energy healing. What is it. I’ve heard of scalar energy. There’s prayer, You know there’s positive thinking. What is it. Well for me it was kind of all encompassing that I realized that everything is energy that you know different health and disease was at some level an energetic difference, difference between happiness and depression was at some level an energetic difference.
I could even argue the difference in poverty and prosperity is, at some level, an energetic difference. So part of my personal journey was realizing
the potential impact of energy, and then that each of us have our own energy. I remember the original study that they did where they wanted to find out the weight of the soul, you know, after a person died and they wait a minute, he weighed 21g less.
So there was this idea that something got lost. That was 21g, and it was this, this mystery. But, it’s true. They just evaporate a little. Yeah, but my point is, he came back to life and headed your life. That 21g come back so that there’s a part of me that always questioning everything we see and hear.
But at the same time, I realize that, there were masters that had a different level of energy and that, you know, when you talk about,
Jesus Christ ministry, it was predominantly a healing ministry. We talk about miracles. Most of those were healing miracles, you know, shout out, you know, making water into wine, you know, which could be a wonderful, provocative.
Yeah. I mean, abundant, profitable business. Model. But what did he always say, though? Not always. But, you know, know, you know, your faith has made you whole. Which was interesting about that statement was that it was empowering the individual to realize they were a part of that equation. And in the, Bhagavad Gita, it says, for every step you take to where God, God takes 100 steps towards you, but you have to take a step.
You have to have that initial. And whether that’s prayer or making some kind of effort, I think there has to be some effort from the individual,
some step out, and then what can come back is an exponential return. Well, then you’re talking about the placebo effect. So if you have faith, you know that’s faith based healing and energy healing is not faith based healing because I’m sitting there and I feel I feel something coming down my body, you know, and I’m like, okay, that’s like not I, I don’t, you know, and I’m very skeptical about stuff.
But when you feel it in your body, you say, okay, something’s happening here. But you know, you’ve heard phrases like, you know, he’ll rub off on you and laughter is contagious, or the best medicine that. Yeah, yeah. So, you know, when you get around someone that’s laughing hysterically, you start laughing. And in the same way, someone with really good energy can rub off on you and they can give that to you.
And yeah, you can, you know, that could be an instrument that actually increases your faith. And whether you call it placebo effect or energy healing, because the placebo part of that is I convinced you that there’s a benefit to this. Or something. Did you know what’s interesting. Most people know about the placebo effect but lesser know about the nocebo effect.
And the nocebo effect is you can take something that’s supposed to work and make it not work.
so it’s kind of like the opposite of the placebo effect. Then I create a new category called the Mosibo effect. That’s where you think more is better, which is paramount in our country that MO I want more. If you do something, you like it, you want to do more, you want to do more.
But at a certain point there’s a diminishing return. And I would even say that it’s counterproductive, but we all fall into that. If you do something, you like it, you want to do more of it and to the point that, you know, if you drink too much water, guess what happens? You drown. At a certain point, it left its therapeutic aspects, and it becomes actually counterproductive to the journey.
I almost experienced that a couple weeks ago, so I, you know, I never understood it until I had way too much sodium. Yeah. And then I couldn’t get enough water. And then, you know, about halfway through the night, I was still so thirsty. But I realized if I had another sip, I might explode. Yeah, yeah. Which made me understand how people are dying if they drink the salt water because they’re in the ocean, and that’s their only option.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You turn into a pillar of salt. Yeah, yeah. Now I have some, I have, I’m sorry. It’s about, well, energy. Energy healing. And it’s just the idea, the reason why it seems like woo woo mystery is because
our concept of science is, you know, I listen to Cliff high because he’s very entertaining and just, like, comes out of nowhere.
I don’t know if you’ve heard him, but anyway. But he talks about he’s just that he likes to explain how our whole, ontology or paradigm of science is built on the concept of grit being the foundational element. So everything is some sort of piece of matter, tiny sub apart, atomic particles, and everything is built up from what he calls grit.
So everything we see, everything you know,
and that the energy, consciousness, spirit is all an imagination, an imaginary thing that is the product of our matter based brains. Right. And that’s one point of view that leads to all the advancement of science and degradations of nature that come along with it. But that’s only one way to look at stuff.
And so I don’t think we could give any credit to the matter, because, you know, when someone´s dead that the matter is still there. Yeah, right. You know. Yeah. So this is things are going on. They’re mysterious and I think so one of the, one of the beauties of life. But when one of the challenges for me was, the arrogance of science that, you know, science wanted to say that it had the highest, the best answer.
And there was always this battle between science and religion, and that usually came about by persecution and then retribution. So my father shout out like he was a physician and, he,
developed this thing. He said, it’s in the nature of man. Should they undergo persecution and survive and later attain power more often than not, they become persecutors.
And this was true for the Jews. It was true for the Christians, it was true for the Muslims, and is true for women. I mean, if we said it was it just make it so. And then I added a corollary. So usually beginning with those who persecuted them, but not necessarily limited to those individuals. So there’s a part where we look at the balance between science and faith or religion.
And
we say it has to be black or white. And, and from my perspective, everything’s shades of gray. You know, there’s just I don’t want to say 50 Shades of Gray because it has connotations. But it has these connotations of there’s parts of science that religion
won’t understand. There’s people who are religious, don’t really understand science.
And so where is this middle ground? Where can you draw on both sides? Interesting, thing with Albert Einstein. He was he was very religious, you know,
he had a a belief in a higher power. He, you know, he had this ability that when he became perplexed by a certain problem, he would get his violin and he would play it.
And he knew that was kind of like the counterbalance for his thinking process to stimulate that. And I’m sure Jonathan’s had similar things with
his experience with music and the healing power of music that we’ve all heard, a song that can move you to tears and just touch your heart, and then you can listen to the same song 24 hours later.
It’s like, no, nothing there. No. Oh, that’s over, you know? And so part of that is what happened, what changed.
from my perspective at some level can all be explained energetically. I understand that. And I’ll take it a step further too, because I don’t think you’re just having an encounter with a patient and you’re giving them good energy.
There’s way more to it than that. But that same energy that you carry has knowledge with it. Everything’s connected. And some people, some healers have the ability to know exactly where to focus. And they’ll say something, you’ll say something to a patient. And how did you know that. Yeah. Yeah. You know whether it’s something emotional that they’re going through.
You know people with this kind of pain I perceive that you’re having a real significant stress in your life. Probably relational. How do you know. You know. And yeah. And somehow we’re given as healers that practice this and tap into it. We’re given this information and it might lead us to giving them a specific treatment. And whether that’s an energy healing treatment or a nutritional recommendation.
But all of that, the whole knowledge,
the energy, the life force, it’s all connected. It’s too big for us to really fully comprehend.

So there’s, you know, if we talk about intellect versus intuition, you know what I mean? One is the stuff you’ve learned, the things you know, and this intuition is this thing. We can’t really put our hands on that.
You get a download and you just ask the right question or you know the right thing. You just have this intuitive gut feeling of where it leads you, what it goes to. And it’s like, you know, we’re writing a book together. The magical mystical healers journey. And it’s this idea that magical, mystical things are happening all the time.
And usually, as Jesus said, having eyes to see we don’t see and having ears to hear, we don’t hear. And so then you take a step back and you’re thinking, wow, that’s, you know, synchronicity. That was Carl Jung’s term for your mind, linking to seemingly random events and your mind makes a connection and saying, there’s significance that I was thinking about my friend, and then he called me right when I was thinking about him, that type of thing.
And my point is that when you start looking for those things, it’s like if you go outside and say, I’m going to look for a certain type of car, then you don’t think there’s that many cars out there. And also sudden you look for what you see, that you see those cars everywhere, and it’s kind of like the same thing.
If you have eyes to see and you start looking for
the connections and or the intuition or the things you’re supposed to read, I think that they start coming to the point that you expect them, you know, okay. What’s up today? Okay. This is the download. This is what’s coming, you know, so the first time I meet Jonathan, I have like a spiritual guide or voice or whatever you want to call it.
And spirit says to me, his strengths are your weaknesses and your strengths or his weaknesses. You make a good team and I had no idea what that meant. I was like, well, I don’t know about this, and but what the one thing that we did share in common was a sense of humor. And so, you know, during C…d
the name that shall not call out what happened needs its own episode.
He said to me. Yeah. And the fact that you said that were canceled already, but okay. Yeah, I know
but I go the fact is so he you know during C…d
I started thinking when it first breaks out
my practice gets, you know, basically shut down. And I’m thinking there’s nothing funny about C…d
there’s just nothing funny about it.
And he’s sending me these funny, you know, cartoons or something like that in the memes. Yeah, memes. And I’m like, the first day I’d see it, I’d say, that’s not effing funny. The next day I said, oh, it’s kind of funny. And the third day I say, okay, sorry. And then I remember the day I broke out that I knew was going to be okay from the C…d
experience.
And it was, he sends
this meme or cartoon that it’s a pair of socks walking together
and it’s a group of socks and they’re all going together. And then one sock says to the other, sock, keep together, boys, or they make you toilet paper. And I remember I laughed for the first time that I was aware that I thought, oh, something happened from the C…d
experience that I actually thought was funny and I said, I had this vision of like being a, you know, grandfather, young man, when I was just a boy, you know, we couldn’t get toilet paper after 10 a.m., you know, so, you know, all the things that we’re
going to look back in retrospect and see kind of the, you know, the silliness of what we, you know, and I’m not I’m not saying that there weren’t serious aspects you could there are serious aspects. Yeah. There’s a lot of humor in everything.
if you have eyes to see, I just, I just read something this morning that, wilderness campers that they have, you know, funny lingo for things like, and one of them is, toilet paper is known as mountain money.
Mountain money. Because you don’t think it’s that valuable to you until you can’t find any? I would say it was the high commodity, the, you know, during C…d
that they could, they could sell any kind of toilet paper by mid day. So, you know,
my early joke was the John Wayne toilet paper. And it didn’t sell very well until C…d
and the problem was their marketing.
It was it’s rough and tough and takes crap from nobody. So there was you know that’s some good marketing. I ran out to Costco and I got myself one of those jumbo, you know, not the quilted kind that only goes around the roller a few times where it’s all fluffed up and stuff, you know, that I got that rough stuff, you know, it’s durable
and it just keeps on.
There’s like a mile of it on each roll. Yeah. So I still have all my socks. Well, I’m just shocked that bidets didn’t take over the country because they made everybody popular. Yeah. Everybody in Europe knows that they have a superior methodology for cleaning yourself. And I’m just, you know, I, I’m just kind of surprised that, more people don’t have bidets I’ll have.
I have a bidet trauma story. And, Jonathan had a bidet An extra bidet. And he. I was. Yeah, Yeah. Right. Yeah, yeah. Oh. Oh, yeah. You know, a girlfriend insisted we buy it, and I couldn’t figure out how to install it. Well, so. So I get his bidet, and I install it myself because I don’t need a plumber, and, I turn it on, and it’s like a fountain.
It’s just springing everywhere. There’s water going everywhere. You don’t need a plumber. Yeah, I know, I don’t need a plumber. No, but then I needed a plumber to fix. But I had tried to put it. You meant to get a wash, but you got a little water fountain drink instead, Exactly. It was poured everywhere. But anyway. So that’s where I.
You know, I saw a funny, YouTube or TikTok or whatever it was where someone just wiped mud on their head, and then tried to wipe it off with a piece of paper, and it’s like, yeah, I want a bidet. So we’re just spreading it around, aren’t we? Okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I have, I mean, I can hook it up to the water, but I don’t have an outlet anywhere near there.
So I was like, I can’t make the electrical part work. So, I see. Yeah. Just
not configured for that. Yeah, yeah. I’m just going to run outside and squat over the sprinkler. I don’t know. Yeah. An apartment complex. Not maybe not that great. Some people would call that overexposure, but, it all depends on your perspective.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Mike thrown in jail, but then you get free food. Not good food. No, let’s go to
the Mosibo thing. And I want to talk about that because it kind of applies to a lot of counseling I have to give to customers of mine. Oh yeah. Yeah. One of the ways we know each other is, the aloe vera product.
Oh, yeah, that I have. And when it comes to how much to drink a day, I like people to learn how to get the answer out of themselves. For instance, people have a general idea that, you know, someone said you should have three servings a day or whatever the case, let’s say that’s their foundational thinking how much should I drink?
You know, they heard that somewhere along the way I might say, have a teaspoon. And they’ll say, well, really? I think I should have more than that. I was kidding, drink the whole bottle. One bottle per day. Yeah, that seems a little excessive. Well, what were you hoping I would say? Yeah, well, I was hoping you would say, you know, three ounces twice a day.
Okay, well, there’s your answer. You know, it was in you. You just needed help getting it out. Now, that would be the answer for the next person. Because they have their own idea about what is right. And after you’re using it for a while, you might decide less or more. Yeah, I think there’s different aspects that go into that decision.
First of all, it’s socioeconomic. What you’re finance is like. Second off diagnosis and prognosis.
what are you battling and what do you hope to accomplish by that. And the third is
the experience. It’s different for each individual. Some people think it taste like water. Other people thinks it’s the bitter, slimy thing they’ve ever experienced in their life.
And so I found that is so individual that, I give a prompting because I really believe in the product. And, you know, there’s a part where there’s not a scientist that would argue 60 to 90% of your immune system is in your gut. And so that should be the primary discussion whenever there’s a health crisis is what’s happening in your gut, because what’s happening with your immune system and you know, a shout out to aloe vera is that I’ve never found anything more healing to the gut than aloe vera.
And if that does exist, there are things that complement it. But, but my point is, everybody should be trying to heal their gut because there are challenges that we’re experiencing that you might not even be aware of, but it’s happening and it’s starting in your gut, you know? Yeah. For sure. Yeah, the gut is definitely foundation. Like we don’t even know yet.
Yeah, there are more bacteria and viruses and living creatures in our gut than there are our own cells. We are outnumbered by our microflora, the little things that are crawling around inside us. I think it’s funny too, because I like people to understand when you’re eating, you’re not feeding you. You’re feeding them, they’re taking what you eat and they’re turning it into something that your body can use, and then you’re absorbing it.
Yeah. And it’s kind of like soil. You’re really like a tree. You have intestines that are roots that sink into the soil that they make. They make the soil outside living creatures from little tiny bacteria up to big animals eat stuff and poop it out and excrete. Yeah. And that’s how soil is made. And it turns trash into things that the trees can grow in.
Right. So the question is, is how is your soil in good soil we grow good fruits and vegetables in trees and in bad soil we don’t. We have to add fertilizer and things like it. How is your soil? Are you feeding yourself or are you feeding them so you know something like aloe vera? It’s high fiber. It’s a yeah.
Although it’s made up mostly of a certain sugar. People say really it’s sugar. It’s a unique sugar. It’s different than glucose. It’s not eating all of the bad bacteria. It’s got all kinds of, you know, amino acids and minerals. It’s one of the most diverse, nutrient filled plants there is. It is wonderful for the gut. And it seems to be great for the microbiome.
Okay. Can I can I ask about this? So the sugar you’re talking about is mannose, right? Yeah. So, I remember, like, back to when I had a dog and they had a urinary tract infection. The, the alternative method was use d mannose because it’s a kind of a sugar, and it somehow gets rid of the infection, whereas regular sugar would make it worse.
Right. And so they would, they would, you would feed the d-mannose and they would pee it out and that would somehow clear the infection from their urinary tract. Yeah. And it was just like that was a just like a radical thing. So I’m thinking, you know,
and then I hear that, you know, aloe is, has mannose in it too.
And then there’s, you know, so it’s sort of a sugar that’s an anti. It’s like it’s like the antidote to sugar because it
fits that niche. But it does. It works differently. Diabetics will take aloe because it lowers their blood sugar levels. That’s interesting. Yeah. And and you know, I have to make a think when I first met Rodney, he was talking about the protocol for cancer patients and terminal cancer patients.
and I when he said that, I was just kind of shocked, I said, wow, that’s a lot of aloe vera gel, you know? And then
I said that was pulling a Gandhi. And he said, he looks at you guys pulling a Gandhi. And I said, yeah.
When Mahatma Gandhi was doing peace between
the Hindus and Muslims in India independence, he’s fasting on aloe vera. So he’s just living on aloe vera as
his sole nutrient source. And it actually can hydrate him at the same time.
feed him. And so so that was my thought was that, that aloe vera was this this fuel food from the gods and the fuel for
these saints, so to speak.
So. But that’s not a fast that’s a mono diet. That’s a mono diet. That’s a that’s that’s, you know, semantics there. You can do a mono that you could do a bone broth diet. You could do, all beef diet, you know, and the thing that would most of the effect would be the microbiome that when you do a diet like that or even if you’re doing the extended fast, you’re basically trying to change or balance your microbiome.
Yeah, that’s something I need to practice more. I haven’t done a fast in a long time, but it’s not only the, benefits of cleansing and detoxifying and going into ketosis, which may or may not be beneficial. Controversy on that one. Yeah, but saying no to the flesh on something that it’s crying out for. Gives you some sort of spiritual power and control.
Yeah. For other areas of your life. It spills out. So I need to fast. Well so 70 well you know, one word of wisdom that I learned was that if you’re craving something, it’s probably bad for you, because, you know,
and I so I experiment with that. And,
once you cut those things out, the cravings go away.
But then
there are things that are good for you that, so, so, for example, let’s say a ribeye steak, which I eat a lot of, but like, I don’t go around thinking I’m, I, I need a steak, I’m craving a steak. I just feel hungry and I’m like, okay, I should eat a steak. And,
and it’s not until I cook it and it smells good and I’m all ready to eat it.
And I’m like, oh, I’m really hungry now, and I really want this, but I don’t crave it, which is really weird. Well, there’s a lot of things going on psychologically. For instance, when my wife, who had been a, vegetarian for like ten years when she got pregnant, she craved meat. And it was she just thought that was so bizarre because here she’d been a vegetarian for so long, and then all of a sudden, and she asked my advice, like, well, if you’re craving meat and you’re trying to have a baby, you know, you have your baby, be healthy, then you should, you know, kind of honor the cravings, so to
speak. And that’s interesting because
when women get pregnant, they have interesting cravings. You know, crave Pickles, another crave salt or great whatever. And there might be an inner tuning that we can get in touch with in terms of what’s actually my best interest and what is also self-sabotaging. What am I doing to, you know, what she got out of her head and into her body that I heard about some study on vegans or vegetarians that they’re presented with some meat and consciously they’re like, no, yuck.
But subconsciously it’s the same parts of their brain that carnivores have that are lighting up and saying, your mom may want some, might want some, you know, so
our consciousness is so strong that we can we can totally bury those. You know, the messages coming from our body are, you know, inherent desires and needs. Yeah.
You know, you know what, ancient, or the El-Din, Native Americans called vegetarians. They called about very poor hunters. Now, just in case, in case anyone’s uncomfortable listening or. You guys, I eat meat. Okay? I, my wife and I, we had ribeye steaks, actually, for lunch today. Yeah. When it comes to those things that I do believe that plants are medicine and they can certainly be used for health purposes.
Animal foods, people that don’t get them do seem to be lacking something. Yeah.
especially vegans more than vegetarians. I think you can differentiate. But
my mother was
a nutritionist, and she felt that the superior diet was the Chinese diet because it had lots of fruits and vegetables, a little bit of meat, and that meat was like a super vitamin pill that would cover all the things that the veggies that you weren’t getting from the rest of your diet.
Well, you can get the nutrients from any, anywhere. You know, you can get them from animals. If the animals are eating the right things, they say you are what you eat. You know, cows are vegans, I eat them, so maybe I’m a vegan because I eat cows. That doesn’t really make sense. But the reality is I’m getting the nutrients that they’re eating.
Yeah. But I, you know, I’m also getting, a lot of nutrients that I couldn’t get from eating only vegetables. So I eat animal foods. I forget who it was. It may have been you, John. Did you tell me about a book where someone wrote about being a vegan and how, you know, it was for her, a spiritual decision because she didn’t want to kill, and then she was out in the garden, and, you know, there were bugs on the plant.
So she got, you know, chickens or whatever to eat the bugs and realized the bugs still had to die. Something always has to die. Whether you’re eating animal foods or plant foods. And how do you get healthy grass for your cows to eat? Well, there’s you need to have bugs and worms and stuff in the soil to make sure.
And cows you need, you know, cows to to walk on the soil. That’s how the whole regenerative agriculture thing. you need cows to poop on the soil, to walk on the soil. Different animals. You need the chickens to come around and eat the bugs. It all works together. Yeah, yeah, yeah, the chickens are eat chickens, eat lizards like steak.
Here in Florida, you know? Yeah. Why not grab the lizard and stuff and try to kill it? And it actually slips out of the mouth. And then the other ten chickens go running for it, and it’s my lizard, and they’re fighting over it, tearing it apart and stuff. I mean, you can’t really have, like, immaculate conception of
vegetables.
I mean, they can’t just, like, sprout from other vegetables, you know, it’s a whole ecosystem. Absolutely. I’ll share it from personal experience, though, that I tend to be predominantly vegetarian. And part of that was my, spiritual, teachings and practices, and that, in terms of consciousness, trying to do that and I realized to a certain point it was too rigid and that I had to kind of like back off that a little bit and say, okay, you know, that, you know, I would see people who think that a cookie would kill them.
And I’m like, well, it probably will, because your mind has created the monster demon cookie. And so there were many humorous stories in my past where I would deviate from my vegetarian diet not meaning to. And then something funny would happen, and I’d look at kind of thing in retrospect and say, well, you know, it’s complex, you know, that type of thing now?
Sure. One, I was at a retreat once and it was a it was a group of vegetarians. And, they, they’re serving this black bean soup and this black bean soup tastes so great. I’m like, oh, my God, this is we’re just wolfing it down like we’ve just never had anything like that. And I do something I rarely ever do.
I say I have to go back and give my compliments to the chefs, because this is the best vegetarian black bean soup I’ve ever tasted in my entire life. So I go back in the back and I said, who’s that is the best soup I have ever tasted. Because yeah, I couldn’t get the taste right until I got bacon in there.
And I’m like, I knew there was going to be some animal in that. And I know, I know, there’s going to be all the animals. You had to go with bacon. I’m like, oh yeah. Oy vey.
Good shout out, you know, Jesus miracles kind of humor. I, I see you behind it. There’s a story Jesus. And he’s and he has this guy who has a legion of demons that’s possessing him.
and, so what happens is he calls them out, and he puts him in a herd of swine, and the swine go crazy, the pigs go crazy.
They they jump off a cliff, and I’m sure they get the humor in. It’s like, hey, where did that pig farmer do to you? And I know from your family, but that was not kosher. And I said that was might have been the origin of the first barbecue. all you can eat pork because all the pigs maybe, maybe.
Interesting. Interesting. You know, I, we did talk about this on a different podcast recently. I do believe everyone that eats animal foods, which I think everyone should for the most part, a lot of my customers are fighting cancers. Oh, yeah, plants are medicine. And you might be in a season where you need that extra, detoxification, cleansing, healing all those super nutrients from plant foods.
So in certain circumstances, a growth food might not be right for you. And that makes sense to me. But I do believe for the animal eaters, everyone, if you eat chicken, you should kill a chicken. You should go through that experience and connect with the food that you eat and understand that this is a gift and it’s a spiritual experience.
And all of a sudden the whole chicken becomes important to you. And not only you just eating the muscle and the best parts of it and throwing the rest of the way. But you use everything and you make broth until there’s nothing left. And then, you know, when you present that to the family, you say grace like you’ve never said it before.
Because it means something different. All of the sudden. Well that was a Native American tradition that when you killed an animal you gave respect and honor for its sacrifice for what it was doing for the tribe and as such, until you honored the animal sacrifice in a very, you know, in terms of gratitude that you’re saying, hey, thank you for, you know,
this ultimate sacrifice and such.
Yeah, yeah. Well, you know, sugar is, plant isn’t sugarcane. Yeah, sure. That that feeds cancer, right. Well, you know, I don’t know if you gave someone the cane to chew on. Would it feed cancer? I don’t know, that could be the process. Yeah, yeah, yeah, the thing is that we take the. And that’s mosibo effect.
That you take something sweet, like sugar cane, and you concentrated in a super concentration that’s more sugar cane than you could ever eat. And then you’re trying to make an assessment on what is sugar. You see, I’m saying that in moderation maybe doesn’t hurt you that much. And, one of the things that I’ve found with my, my cancer patients is the most difficult.
The thing to navigate is the person’s fear, because there’s legitimate reasons to be fearful. Like what’s going to happen with to to lead to what’s going to happen into my family afterwards, my finances or whatever. And so that’s totally normal. But part of the journey has to be able to manage your mitigate that to the point that you’re not crippling your immune system.
Because one of the things that I have again, happened to the, the C word, the other word, I’m coaching Co that’s a, it’s a thing I made up besides C…d
made me cynical, which led me to conspiratorial theories. So much for me. But but, what happened was that, if you have to manage it, because
if you’re gripped by fear,
you cut off your higher mind and you start sabotaging your immune system.
Because
if you’re afraid enough, you could just totally, you know, destroy you. And so part of that is awareness that you’re realizing a balance of is necessary to control your fears, to be a peace of mind, even in the journey where it’s taking you. Yeah. I was told when you’re in fear, breathe. In fact, take a deep breath.
Hold it. Connect with your body. Let it out. Be back in the present. Why isn’t that tie in into sort of the acid state, like the acid base and the breathing brings in, you know. Yeah. Alcohol and rises and counteracts, you know, Baroody writes a book called Alkalis or Die, I’m sure you know, because good to kind of change things in ways we can’t imagine.
But the idea was that, you know, the acidic diet was going to be meat, sugars, grains, processed foods and, and such and that the alkaline foods where, plants and vegetables and, I’m going to hear you out, but I’m going to disagree with the concept. Well, you know, you got to hear where I’m going with this because ultimately, what transpires is I’m reading this book and I’m saying, yeah, okay.
So you’re saying diet based reserves, alkalinity, acidity. Well, what you find out is that thought produces alkalinity and acidity and so the alkaline thoughts would be like peace, love, joy, harmony. And the acidic thoughts would be anger, hatred, fear, this type of thing. And so if you contemplate how much of the time of the day you’re eating versus how much of the time of the day, you’re thinking, there really is no comparison.
And it’s like you’re thinking constantly. I think we think I don’t they have a theory that we have 60,000 thoughts a day, which I don’t know
who monitor that, you know.
but the point I’m making is that that’s constantly going on. And I would say that that’s a much more important factor than what you’re eating. And then from a religious, spiritual background, we have a belief system that you can bless your food and, and change the energy of that and the impact on the food itself in terms of how it affects you.
And so, what I realized with that book was that well thought is much more important than what you’re eating. So what are you thinking throughout the day? And then I sort of thinking about the healing benefit of music, of nature, of friendships and all these things that we know are good for our health, but we don’t really fully realize the impact of our thoughts on our health in a moment’s notice, you know?
Yeah, every moment happens to every day. Yeah. When you bless the food, are you are you changing the food or are you changing your perception of what it’s going to do for you? I would argue a combination. You know, there’s a there’s a part where we create our reality, our belief system and that there’s a certain part that we energetically can change something, by that beliefs.
And I think that’s one of the problems with science when we talk about, you know, experimental bias or this idea that we have to do a double blind study. Why? Because
if the scientists believe something, they can effect that experiment. So we have to do a double blind to the science doesn’t know what’s going on and
what’s placebo, what’s not, you know, what’s the control?
So from that perspective, when you expand that out, we in science, we try to take the placebo effect. We put it in this corner and we say, okay, this is the placebo effect. We don’t understand it. It works. We know it’s there, but we’re going to give it this, you know, 10 to 25% depending who you talk to.
And I’m like, well, isn’t that a
key point
that your thought pattern can change the nature of the experiment. And that’s just somebody who doesn’t really understand
the potential power of thought. And that’s somebody who actually becomes more powerful, actually could have a greater effect than that. Yeah. Cool. What’s Substack now? Substack. It’s a, online publishing platform that has been remarkably resilient to, things like cancellation and censorship and a lot of people who lost their traditional outlets, were not allowed
to publish, moved to Substack and were able to say whatever they want
there. really a large degree. So along with Telegram and Substack are the places where people go for free speech and then,
you know, Elon Musk bot X, Twitter turned it to X and allowed a lot of speech there and then. But it’s not 100%. But Telegram and Substack have been, you know, the Rock where people are able to actually just say what they think, communicate for, you know, that.
And yeah, and it’s also a new sandwich coming out at subway where they’re going to come out and marketed as a stack of Substack. Yeah. So, so Substack has, you know, they have ways to monetize. You can have paid subscriber tiers, you can, post videos, podcast. And, and they just launched, live streaming.
So it’s a really great, great tool now. And in addition to that would be Rumble, which is a video streaming platform. So a lot of, a lot of people who got kicked off, or demonetized from YouTube went to, Rumble, and Odyssey as well. But, I think Rumble has a better technology. Yeah.
I’ve had a couple videos that were taken down off of YouTube and they’re now on Rumble and no problems. Right? One of them was, Rodney Stockton’s aloe Vera testimonial video, if you can imagine. Yeah yeah yeah

So you have like, property on Substack. Is it like, you know, substack.com slash? How does it work?
So it’s, triadhealing.substack.com. Okay. Make sure it’s this is a sort of a new thing. So, just kind of bring it up here. triadhealing.substack.com Yeah. Okay. Good. And I’ll make sure that there’s links, you know, on the description of the podcast or video or wherever anyone’s watching this so that they can find you there.

Do you want to push to you or do you want to go and get it? And it’s a, it’s a great community to find all sorts of. Yeah, really out there, analyzes
and of things outside, but basically it’s uncensored. So yeah, all the people who disappeared, you find them, you know, like, oh, there they are.
It’s like all these, like, people that just there’s not the people that disappeared. The people that got disappeared. got Disappeared. Right, right. Yeah. So some people get suicided. Some people get disappeared. Yeah. Hey, shout out I have no suicidal tendencies. Yeah, I have no suicidal. I’m very happy. Yeah. Very happy. So. Yeah. So, basically I just use this as, platform for, my ghostwriting.
So I’m writing about,
healers and their healing journey.
So we’re not trying to say,
necessarily, you know, this is the truth as we understand it. And you must do this to be healthy. It’s more like, okay, well, we understand that there’s a lot of skepticism about experts and expert saying. I am the expert, and you should do this.
So we just take a kind of, like, a step back and say, you know, let’s just take what John says, his stories, what he says in his practice, put them out there online so he doesn’t have to say it over and over again.
but also
it’s his personal testimonial, his story, the things that he’s heard and he’s, you know, repeats and
other people’s stories as well, how they became healers.
And so you can say, oh, well, I, you know, I don’t believe in that hooey But now you can see this is how this person got to this place. And for them, it’s not hooey. For them, it was life changing. So you can see that
and you know, so it’s quite different than like a book on pranic healing.
It’s about why John is an energy healer and how did he get there and where did he come from? You know, so, it builds credibility and it makes you sort of think about, oh, maybe there’s another way to look at things. You know, I always believe that the story is that is the important part. Because you can tell somebody something and a month later they’ve forgotten, or a week later or sometimes an hour later they forgot it.
But if you tell a story and ideally there’s some kind of wisdom embedded in that story or there’s some kind of humor in that story, then it has more of a tendency
to stick, and that it makes it more of an impact. When you shared it in context. It’s like, I’m not just saying this. This is my story of how I came to this realization or
this understanding of this particular thing, but still honoring each individual’s journey that says, you know, you’re an individual and
there’s something about you that’s unique to you.
So you have to find out what resonates with you and what doesn’t resonate. So yeah, there’s been a shift in the audience, I think, you know, from, you know, years ago it was more like the expert tells the the guru or the expert says, this is what you must do. And you’re like, oh yeah, I, you know, I’ll try it.
But now it’s more like it’s all about testimonials. It’s like I was angry, I found this and now I am happy, and I did this, and now I can, you know, why don’t you try it? I’m not going to say it’s going to work for you. But it worked for me. So that’s why I did dedicated my life to this.
And you see this over and over again with people in alternative health care saying, well, I was injured. No one can help me. I found this
and I devoted my life to it. So functional medicine, like, I don’t know. Do
you know, Dr Ruscio, Michael Ruscio? He he’s got I know him. No, but I know of him.
Yeah. So, I mean, he was a chiropractor, but he now does completely like nutrition and stuff. Like that. But, he had the same story. And so when I was working with him as, as a patient,
he had experienced very similar problems to mine. And you have the same journey. And, he just had, you know, figured out what works.
So it was a lot more condensed for me.
but then to hear from him that, you know, even if you do everything and you get better and it’s great, but it’s never 100% like there’s always still
that struggle, when
you fall off the wagon and you have some, you know, some bread or some wine or something, and maybe you don’t feel so good again.
And you’re like, oh, here I am back. I’m back again in my old patterns that I thought I had vanquished. And he said, yeah, but, you know, you just go back to the program, clean it up, you’re back. You’re back on track now. That’s, you know, that’s functional medicine. Maybe there are, you know, even better ways to deal with things beyond that.
And that’s kind of where I am now. I’m kind of like, that’s great. And it helped me a lot. And now I’m like off into other, other things like, you know, carnivore, you know, like super like just getting back to the basics
of letting your body heal itself and not constantly, you know, trying to, like, stick artificial, you know, things or plants in your brain to, to fix you.
You know, I just want to shout in terms of what the origin of triad healing. Where it came from in my energy healing journey was this idea that we’re most of the time focused on physical healing, because if we have a physical problem, that becomes obviously the issue we’re talking about now is your diagnosis, prognosis, stuff like that.
And then some people have to get into the mental emotional component of healing, which you talk to a psychiatrist or a psychologist. They’re going to say that’s actually the most important aspect. And I can argue that. And then, what I would call a, spiritual or karmic healing or, you know, that perspective. But to me, it was like, if you’re not looking at the whole picture, you don’t understand the whole picture.
And so that the holistic component was saying, you have to look at these three components, then they’re so intertwined you can’t separate them. And yet we have to separate them for comprehension purposes. You say, okay, can you pray yourself to health? Yes you can. Can you believe yourself to get healthy and strong and actually come to your reality like every day, in every way I’m getting better and better.
Émile Coué Shout out. Was a scientist. He was, early, psychiatrist? No psychologist. And, pharmacist. So he’s doing early drugs in France,
and he noticed that the people who took his, you know, pharmaceutical things, if they believed it was going to work, it usually work. And they didn’t think it was going to work.
It it didn’t work. So he was the one who termed every day in every way I’m getting better and better. And he would say, your mind’s not going to accept that, but you give it marching orders. You say, okay, this is where we’re going, this is what we’re doing. So you repeated over and over and over again.
And then as of recently, you know, when Jonathan and I were talking about, various aspects of healing, we realized there was a new thing that needed to be talked about
that for healing to be, it had to be safe. You know, so people do things that are just kind of dangerous, right? And it had to be effective.
And so it had to work, in other words. And then it had to be affordable because the number one cause of bankruptcy in this country is health care. And so when you’re looking at the impact and what’s transpired and what’s happening, we’re looking at a country that most of the bankruptcies that are happening is due to health care, and that is not set to get better.
It’s actually going to get worse. And I just like a little side history note. So when General Motors, you know, Obama becomes president and there’s this big meltdown in the economic system and such, and the decision is who do you loan money to? And so he decides to loan money to General Motors and General Motors. They declare bankruptcy.
They take the money and they turn it around really quick, and they pay back the money back with interest in underneath the length of the term of the loan. And it’s considered this, this great story of the American system and capitalism, stuff like that. But unbeknownst to most, is that when they declared bankruptcy, they cut off the people with pensions and health care plans.
So, so, so they had been known as a health care company that built cars on the side, because when they first start the pensions and stuff, people were dying 50, 60. Well, also these people started living 50, 60, 70, 80. And you have these pension plans and suddenly you’re paying in and paying in and paying and paying in.
And so
it wasn’t sustainable in terms of like the economics of it. And so when they cut those people off instantaneously, they become profitable in a short amount of time. They were able to turn around. Well, that’s kind of where the country’s heading, you know, that
we’re putting all this money and energy into health care, and we’re talking about how do we have coverage and what do we do and stuff like that.
But I would question the sustainability that if you don’t have a healthy society where people are responsible for their own health and doing the steps necessary, like taking aloe vera or like exercising or the various things that you’re literally driving toward the end of a cliff and that eventually, I don’t care how much money you have, it’s not going to be enough.
Yeah for sure. Well, but getting back to the concept of the triad, so we talked about that,
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual karmic. So these are
three areas that John thinks about in his healing. And, you know, moves people through as they’re comfortable. Right? You know what? They’re comfortable dealing with at that moment?
so I think that’s a lot there’s a lot there to explore for us. And we’ve just barely touched the surface.
Certainly in
John story, it goes it’s all over the map physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, karmic. So you get a taste of it there. But, it’s a lot for us to unpack, you know, safe and effective and affordable.
Right. So we heard a lot about safe and effective. Nobody
trust that anymore. And, and the affordability is like, well, you know, somebody’s paying for it. I mean, you’re paying for it in your taxes. You pay for something in your taxes, they give it to you for free. Right? So you think, hey, this is affordable, but somebody paying for it, it’s you when you pay your taxes
and then they give it to you for free.
So, you know, it’s not really affordable. You just don’t see the cost. Right. So we’re trying to make think. We’re trying to think about things that are, you know, really like aloe vera
is not expensive compared to, you know, what a drug actually costs to make with all the taxpayer funding that goes into making it. So anyway.
But, the other thing about the triad is,
I’m just really turned off by everything being looked at in terms of a binary decision. Right? there’s right. Versus left. Ivermectin is good or it’s bad, right. It’s you’ve got to choose one. And so you have, mainstream media used to be all about, you know, here’s one side and here’s the opposite side.
Pick a side, pick a side, like, oh, here’s one view. Here’s another view. Oh, when we’re out of time, you know, we can actually have a debate or come to any sort of agreement or anything. And, of course. And then it changed to, like, we have two people and they both agree. So, okay, that’s not very interesting.
So but why are there three sides to a debate, right. Or more so, so by thinking in threes, by having three people in a trialog instead of a dialog, it gets more interesting. You have now three different perspectives. You can get three different sides to something instead about he said she said kind of thing. Yeah yeah know in terms of history, I was always fascinated by the number three father, son, Holy Ghost, past, present, future, self.
That. And so, you know, I had originally, gone with trifecta healing because that was and that was a gambling term, this idea that you bet three different ways and race. But I do believe we have a, gambling problem in this country that’s only going to get worse. And we could advertise any kind of gambling if we put the disclaimer there.
If you have a gambling problem, please call 800, you know, you know, but,
No, no, actually, actually, what happened was I was playing around with, ChatGPT and some of the stuff we were writing and it came back. It just ChatGPT. GPT decided that it preferred the word triad to trifecta, and it just changed. That changed the word from trifecta to try it. And I was like, that’s it.
It was at a musical term, and it’s three. And it’s like, explain what the musical term is. Okay. Well, yeah. So, so like a dyad is like an interval. So there’s two notes and, and that would be an interval and you add a third note. So you’ve got let me see. Yeah. So now you’ve got a triad, you’ve got two intervals, you have three notes.
And that’s a triad. Got it. Right. So the basics of, of so, that sort of emerged,
through counterpoint a long time ago. So,
and now we think that our music is just chords. No, but it all started with individual voices. So you would have a melody and a counter melody, right? So you’d have.
It was all intervals.
So I think like, Gregorian chant is like that.
And then they started trying to build more and more complicated music and,
the notion of,
three,
three tones and how, how do you control for that? So you have the sound of three voices,
continuously moving,
but distinct as three.
So that became, like, really key. And then they, you know, tried to add a fourth, but it generally was only three and less, you know. So anyway, Thanks for trying. Yeah. There’s a whole lot there’s I studied this and you know, I studied this for many years, so I wish I studied music. I do know a few things about it.
For instance, when there’s three beats per measure, the crowd tends to go side to side. When there’s four, they tend to go like this.
Well, it’s funny when you’re in that when you have threes, it’s more of a trance like spiritual experience, like in Latin music.
the more,
trance like spiritual,
music is in six, eight and, the dance music is in is in four because you have two feet. So it just makes sense. Okay. Well, yeah.
You know, this conversation, I think I can talk for hours with you guys. What I’m hoping we can do is reconnect and. Oh, that’s great. Yeah. There’s so many things I want to talk about. John, what’s your practice? My practice? I have an office in Lafayette, California.
And,
it’s in a little,
redwood grove.
And so I like my little slice of nature is I could walk outside and be underneath a couple of redwood trees. You know, when I first came to,
California, I saw a redwood tree for the first time, and I’m like, I had to touch it. I’m thinking, here, I’m in North California. I’m hugging a tree, but what’s going on?
And then somebody sees me in the open space. They have this beautiful thing in Walnut Creek in Lafayette, where we have these open spaces that you actually walk through nature in undeveloped areas. And, they were thought out in terms of the city planning and such. And so, this office, just kind of came, during C…d
And
it was kind of my sanctuary, my hideout, and now it’s now it’s where I do my practice. All right. And if someone wanted to contact you, is there a website or phone number? What would it be? It would be my phone number. I’m low tech, so, it could be triad healing.
We could contact through that, and. But, my phone number, and I’ll say it out down. I kept
my Florida phone number. And the reason I kept it was because if I were semi-conscious, I knew I could always remember. And the other part was, I’ll still get phone calls from people back in Florida that I haven’t been there in 15 years.
So it’s three, let’s do this. Let’s do this. Instead of printing your phone number, let’s give the name to your office that they can look up on Google. I don’t know. I don’t I used to have that and I kind of gave that up
so I don’t really have that anymore. I’m going to check it right now.
Hang on a second. Okay, I believe you. What’s the name of it? And I what time it was, abundant living. I was working with a physician there, but, you know, I, I worked at Mount Diablo Integrative Wellness Center. I worked at, He’s just a guy with a phone. I’m just a guy with a phone and a crystal trying to make the world a better place.
And he used to make house calls, and I used to make house calls. Yes. That’s true. Yeah. So, And now you do, remote. You’ve doing long distance healing. I, you know, I that was something I had to I was forced to get in during C…d
when that was shut down,
the, you know, people physically coming to the office.
But, I did experiment quite a bit with remote healing, though I, I found it for a lot of people. It was a step beyond what they could believe, you know, and such as that. And so, and what I really liked was when somebody came to the office, I’d have that or somebody calls me, the human interaction, the ability to share and talk and interact and such.
What did you find? You got a smell like you found something. I. He doesn’t exist. Yeah, he is a he’s a ghost. I just I’m just a waft in the wind underneath the redwood trees. We gotta fix it. That’s my job. My job is to go out there in the world on the internet. I was already. I’m already out there.
So I’m like, using technology. And I was like, okay, well, I just no way I’m gonna scrub myself from the internet and go private, you know? Anonymous. So, right, I’m on. John uses me as his, my I’m going to try something different. Hang on a second. What I’m doing is I’m going to Haleynutrition.com. Hitting the store locator.
What’s your zip code? 94956. Let’s see what comes up and we’ll see if it’s valid anymore. Abundant living
it’s not really abundant living anymore because that was the physician I was associated with. So it’s kind of like I would call it triad healing. You can change that in your.
To we’re going to have to fix this and get you a Google listing. Is it okay. All right. The phone number. Is it the 386 number. Yes it is okay. All right. So that’s going to be on Haley Nutrition. You know what I could do I’ll put a link up near this podcast in the description somewhere to this page that has your contact information on it.
Okay. Well thank you. You know, there’s a lot of my clients who have come through. People contacted me about aloe vera gel and then we’ll get into a discussion and a guest go to different. So some of my best clients and some of my best friends have come from that connection. So there was always kind of like this magical, mystical component of aloe vera gel circulating in my life.
So you got a good aloe vera story. Is that on Substack? Yes. Yeah. All right. And is it a subscription based or anyone can read it. No,
it’s all open to the public right now. I have a link to that. I do, you know, I’m sorry. And I do want to get into some subscription content, but I haven’t really gotten to that yet, so we’ll think about it.
And, you know, I can’t really think about how many hours I’ve spent telling that story to different clients. And now I can just reference here’s the story, read it, and tell me what resonates, and we’ll have a discussion about the parts that you find interesting. And this is a great story. I found it all interesting. Good stuff. Yeah.
John and Jonathan, thank you for joining me. It’s really our pleasure. And you know, I just want to I just want to do a little shout out for you. You know, I there was a certain, divine perfection that
the internet was down for you last time. It gave us a chance to have, like, a couple of our discussion and find background information that I’ve found very relevant.
But I just a shout out to you, you know, keeping Rodney’s legacy going and alive and, you you’ve done him proud. Thank you. I wish I had more time to talk with him and work out some of the, you know, details and figure some things out. I figured it out on my own, most of it, but, I had a lot of material from him that I was able to comb through and learn the ropes, so to speak.
But it’s stuff he really paved the way.
and, maybe I had something to do with
putting him on the internet, but he was going to be known forever anyway. I don’t know. I you know, there’s an interesting thing about legacy and memory, you know, because you can write a bestseller and in a year you’re forgotten.
So there’s a certain component of legacy that has to be ongoing and perpetual. And so, you know, they made a movie are all The Age of Ultron. And I’m going to say that 2025 is the age of Aloe that you were part of that Genesis. It’s going to create a whole different narrative because people I think they’re going to be forced out of the system to question the system, and they’re going to look for alternatives and different stories to tell that, will help them in that journey.
Yeah. The future is bright. Well, next few weeks some things are going to be changing here and it’s going to be for the good. And the aloe supply is going to be off the charts. Good. Better than anything before. We’re going to have to talk about that next time. A lot of people want to know when it comes to aloe what’s so different.
And I’ll, I’ll just give a little teaser. We are the only brand that has Mucopolysaccharides Well how could that be. We’ll talk about that next time. Yeah. Look at that. On the edge of my seat.
Thank you. John and Jonathan. Thank you. I, it’s really a pleasure. I look forward to reconnecting and all those people out there. God bless. If we’ve offended anybody, we apologize forthwith. We really didn’t mean to offend anybody. If you don’t accept your apology, if you are just kidding. I know. Don’t worry. We’ll be offending you more next time.
Don’t worry about me. It’s my go. If you choose to be offended, it’s your choice. It’s it. That’s right, that’s right. Yeah,
